Krause Springs
– Considered by many as the best swimming hole in Texas, Krause Springs is located in Spicewood, Texas, just about 30 minutes west of Austin, the state capital. There are 32 springs in this 115-acre property. Although it is listed in the National Registry of Historical Sites, it has been privately owned by the Krause family for over 60 years. In the hot Texas summers, there is no better place to be than at these springs with their constant 68-degree temperature.
