A Peaceful Paradise

Nevada Beach at Lake Tahoe

— How would you like to be in a campground surrounded by pine trees and evergreen shrubs and just a few steps from the blue waters of Lake Tahoe? That is the setting of the Nevada Beach campground. The area is right at the Nevada-California state line and sits at an elevation of 6,100 feet (1,860 meters). It is actually just 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Stateline, Nevada.

The campground is right by Lake Tahoe and has a half a mile (0.8 km) stretch on the lake shore. Besides enjoying those blue waters, you also have breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We visited Tahoe in 2015 and went here twice. You can drive and park close to this area, but if you prefer to enjoy this quiet setting, I’d suggest parking at the entrance of Rabe Meadows and enjoy the short walk to Nevada Beach. Late afternoons are a prime time to experience a magnificent sunset here.
