Lost Maples State Natural Area

Lost Maples SNA— For our Spring Break 2016 short trip, we decided to stay in central Texas, in the Hill Country area. We picked a favorite area near Lost Maples State Natural Area because of the scenery and also because we’ve used the Firefox Cabins three other previous times. We thoroughly enjoy our week off hiking three different parks and visiting the small towns in the areas and two of Texas most scenic roads: Texas State Highway 39 and Ranch Road 337. Just driving along those two highways would provide you plenty of gorgeous scenery. However, in our day at Lost Maples SNA, we enjoyed a leisure hike and came upon this beautiful quiet area for a short break. I couldn’t get over the colors and Monet-like scene along the Sabinal River.
