— Sometimes a weekend is just not enough to recover from busy weekends — that is what comes to mind when I look at this elk. As we approached the entrance to the Hoh Rain Forest in Olympic National Park, we stopped to admire this beautiful elk greeting us. There were two others in the same area. They seemed to be unaware of our presence. This was not very far from the road. We cautiously stayed close to our car and behind the park sign entrance.
