At the End of the Day

That a day spent with dreaming and sunsets and refreshing breezes cannot be bettered.
Nicholas Sparks

A couple of parks in Texas are perfect destinations to enjoy a spectacular sunset. The first, Davis Mountains State Park, is about a seven-hour drive from my home in Austin. The other, Inks Lake State Park, is under 90 minutes away. I can witness unpredictable beauty every day I am at Inks Lake. The mornings are filled with quiet and tranquility. Hikes can offer trails covered with wildflowers, an unparalleled Hill Country landscape, and sometimes even some wildlife surprises.

The photo featured here was captured a year ago. With the warmer winter temperatures we are experiencing, I imagine I will be visiting that park again soon.
