— Blue Plumbago is one of those flowers that keep blooming even when we have extreme temperatures and dry conditions. This native plant loves heat and can be quite drought tolerant. Contrary to popular belief, Blue Plumbago is not a Texas native plant, but it has adapted quite well to our environment and weather. Birds, bees, and butterflies love this plant. Another benefit is that these plants are deer resistant. It is no wonder that we see so many of these around the Austin area. With the weather being so hot lately, it is a breath of fresh air to see these beautiful blue flowers in our garden.
