— As National Pollinator Week comes to a close, I decided to try one more capture. So, yesterday afternoon I went into our backyard to look for photo opportunities. One of the plants we have there is a magnet for bees and hummingbirds: Flame Acanthus. Besides attracting birds and bees, the bush is also very drought resistant. That means it is a good plant to have in Texas. At the present time, the bush has plenty of red flowers. Therefore, I knew I’d see bees flying around. In fact, I soon noticed that there were several. The challenge now was to capture one, whether flying or sitting briefly on a flower. So, here is one shot I made.
