— It is no wonder that the Latin name for a daisy flower is Bellis perennis (pretty everlasting). With so many varieties, a daisy flower is generally called as common daisy, lawn daisy, or English daisy, for example. This particular photo was taken in El Salvador in the beautiful Hotel Santa Leticia in the summer of 2008. It was a quiet place with gorgeous, manicured grounds. There were lots of flowers attracting humming birds and butterflies. Just sitting on the porch of our cabin was enough to appreciate all the beauty around us.
