Decision Point

Decision Point— A mountain bike ride at Reveille Peak Ranch, outside of Burnet, Texas, is a thrill in many ways. The facilities are over 1,300 acres and include camping and lots of various mountain biking trails, including loops, single and double track trails, and trails ranging from low to moderate to highly technical skills. Besides that, the user also has magnificent views of the Texas Hill Country. The one in the photos, for example, can be found by taking the moderate-to-difficult Decision Point trail. That’s Inks Lake in the background. The harder part of this trail comes after this point, if you decide to proceed. Initially you are riding your bike on solid rock and very treacherous ledges. I, for one, have never ridden my bike at one section of that trail. I generally just walk my bike. The trail is very narrow and on a bluff. To make matters worse, there are plenty of cacti around, should you fall down that bluff.
