— Time and time again we end up spending some time around the Garner State Park area. The photo above comes from a trip there two years ago today. There is something captivating about the Frio River, those cypress trees, and the whole area. It was also here at the Frio River where I made the 2016 winning shot of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation Focus on the Wild statewide contest. Although it was wintertime, the fall foliage colors were still vibrant in the park. To add a sense of serenity, a father and two kids were peacefully fishing in the tranquil waters of the Frio River.
