Earlier this year I posted another scene from this very trail but looking northwest. This time the view shows Hwy 118 leading up to the University of Texas’ McDonald Observatory and the Nature Conservancy’s Davis Mountains Preserve. That highway also offers a magnificent 90-mile loop to Fort Davis.
