— During our 6-mile (9.65 km) hike around Inks Lake SP, we looked for a place to stop and grab a quick bite. Although the midday hours are not good for photography because of the harsh light, I just could not get enough of these clouds welcoming us. There was a gentle breeze, not cold, and the sun provided enough warmth to make this a perfect spot to rest. We started out at the Pecan Flats trail and then connected to the Woodlands trail. This is close to the point where those trails intersect, and we simply followed a sign that said “scenic view.” No false advertising there, that’s for sure!
