— Nothing is more reassuring for a buyer when one sees the source of your purchase. That was the case for us, when we were headed to the Colca Canyon in Peru. Along the way, we had a few stops to drink tea, admire the landscape and also shop. Before getting to Chivay, we stopped at this location to see up and close alpacas and artists weaving sweaters, vests, scarves and other clothing items. We were actually able to feed alpacas here. Although exciting, when we see those teeth, our reaction is to retract our hands. In this shot, I thought it was very interesting to see the alpaca close to the woman, as she was quietly weaving some yarn. It is almost as if she was getting the yarn directly from the alpaca. Incidentally, I did buy a great sweater from this woman.
