— During our visit to Zion National Park in May 2016, there were so many memorable views. The Watchman, the trail to Angel’s Landing, Canyon Overlook, Kolob Canyons, and others are worth mentioning here. Some of those sights were constantly in front of our faces every time we drove in and out of the park. The view in this photo, though, seems to go unnoticed by some park visitors. Right by the west entrance of the park, in Springdale (Utah), you cannot miss the majestic formation that is Point Petty. With an elevation of 4,744 feet (1,446 meters), Point Petty is really a cape. On this particular day, we were lucky to have beautiful blue skies and just the perfect light at the end of the day.
