Praça Dom Duarte

— This is one of those moments captured just by chance. As we were visiting the Castelo de São Jorge in Lisbon, we were admiring the beautiful cityscape from that vantage point. The castle sits high above Lisbon and provides fantastic views in all directions. In this particular shot, we were looking northwest when i spotted the Praça Dom Duarte a little over half a mile away (1 km). The scene looks like a toy city with its multi-colored buildings and shapes. The square was the center of town until the end of the 19th century and is not very far from the Catedral da Sé. The buildings we see directly in front of us are supermarkets, hospital, stores, and general businesses.
