— Back in 2012, we took a trip to Italy. Rome was our first destination. We both fell in love with that city and its people. Our hotel was within walking distance to the Roman Forum and Coliseum. At the end of the day, we’d always walk by to check out those sites at night, too. The Roman Forum displays several ruins of ancient government buildings in the center of Rome. This area was a marketplace, a place for speeches, as well as your day-to-day life of the city. In the foreground shown in the photo, you have the Forum of Caeser (Foro di Cesare). The column is the Trajan’s Column (Colonna Traiana). We also have two churches. The one on the right is the church of the Most Holy Name of Maria (Chiesa del Santissimo Nome di Maria). The one in the back on the left is the church of Santa Maria of Loreto (Chiesa di Santa Maria di Loreto).
