A Wondrous West Texas Sunset

Skyline Drive

— This was the sunset from the top of Skyline Drive at Davis Mountains SP on March 1, 2019. I don’t know how many of those I have already shared here, but no matter the count, they are always different and frequently breathtaking. It must be the location, terrain, and unknown factors to me. As often as I have driven up Skyline Drive, I am always pleased with what I see at the end of the day. Even when there was a dust storm during one of our recent trips there, the scenery was always fascinating.

Imagination alone is not enough, because the reality of nature is far more wondrous than anything we can imagine.
Neil deGrasse Tyson

As you can see, things were blooming very nicely at this time of the year. The Torrey Yucca is especially abundant in that area. Sometimes, the flowers are white and occasionally red, as seen in the photo. This shot makes me want to return to that park very soon.
