— After being cooped up over 8 hours while attending a conference in Chicago, I got back to my hotel and had to go for a quick walk before night fell. It was just the right time of the day to see Chicago coming to light as the skies went dark. On my walk, I went through Millennium Park all the way to the Buckingham Fountain. When I turned around to head back, I was faced with this gorgeous view of S. Michigan Avenue (not the Magnificent Mile). The lack of a tripod did not stop me from making this photo. I used one of the planters nearby and kept my camera still. I used 3-bracketed shots (+/- 1), merged, and post-edited them in AuroraHDR. I especially liked the warm glow in the foreground contrasting with the coolness in the background.
