Stranger Things

— While looking through some old photos taken at The University of Texas Memorial Museum some six years ago, I ran across an Edaphosaurus found in Archer County, Texas. This particular animal lived in the late Carboniferous to early Permian periods. It was a lizard-like animal that displayed a sail on its back. They were one of the earliest known herbivorous. What struck me about this particular photo is that it took me back to the demogorgons (or demodogs) featured in the Stranger Things series. I know the resemblance is really farfetched.
