Tuolumne Meadows

Tuolumne Valley

— Yosemite National Park is known for iconic images in the U.S. national parks system. In addition to the various falls and mountain views throughout the park, Tuolumne Meadows, along Tioga Road, stands out in the eastern section of the park. Its dome-studded, sub-alpine idyllic landscape is the perfect setting for a leisure afternoon stroll. Located at approximately 8,619 feet (2,627 m), the meadows offers a good view of the Cathedral Range and Unicorn Peak (to the south). Excellent hiking trails, such as the John Muir and Pacific Crest trails can be found here.
