Tuolumne Meadows

Tuolumne Meadows

— There are places in our national parks that simply stick to my mind whenever I think about those parks. For example, Lamar Valley in Yellowstone NP  or the St. Mary Lake in Glacier NP. The peaceful vibe you get in those places in incomparable. They can sometimes be busy, but you can often find secluded areas to enjoy the tranquility those places offer. In Yosemite NP, I believe I would have to list Tuolumne Meadows as a peaceful place. Its vast open skies and meadows are portrait perfect! The drive along Tioga Road is memorable. There are a number of trails you can hike, including the John Muir trail, the Elizabeth Lake trail, and the Cathedral Lakes trail, just to name a few. Even if you just hand around the road, the views are breathtaking.
