— Murano, Italy, is known as a paradise for glass work. The city is a series of islands just across the lagoon in Venice and easily accessible by one of the several vaporetti that serve the area. Close to our departure from Venice, we took a short trip to visit that charming town, its channels and the myriad of world-known glass art work. You can actually witness the process of artists making glass right before your eyes. Around the city, there are several pieces of glass art work going from flowers to birds in flight. If you’re close to the area, please make time to spend at least an afternoon walking up and down the channels and checking out the beautiful art work.
