— No matter how long a wait we have before being seated for dinner at the Starlight Theatre in Terlingua, Texas, the view of the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park at sunset is priceless. On this evening in December 2021, we got treated to a beautiful West Texas sky.
I look at this photo now and realize it is almost time for our trip back to Big Bend NP. We will be there again the first week in December.
The first time I went to Big Bend NP was in March 2001. Nearly every year we go back. Once you visit that park, you never forget it and always want to be there again. We prefer to visit the park when temperatures are more pleasant for hikes anywhere, whether in the desert or in the mountain areas. We will certainly do some of our favorite hikes. The Santa Elena Canyon trail is a must! And before dinner time, no matter where we are, we will always have views such as this.
