Cub Lake— Rocky Mountain National Park (Colorado) has 359 miles (578 km) of trails, 150 lakes, and 450 miles (720 km) of streams. You can easily take a day hike and go by 3 or more lakes. That is exactly what we did here back in July 2007. Cub Lake is known for its lily pads in the summer months. The complete trail is about 6.1 miles in length and can be busy at times, especially at the start. A lot of people just go a few yards or a couple of miles to appreciate this lake’s beauty.
