White Prickly Poppy
– Although 2014 was not an abundant year for wildflowers in Central Texas, there were still several fields covered with white prickly poppies (Argemone albiflora). One interesting fact about this flower is that the stem is covered with so many prickles that even the deer and cows leave it alone.
