— Back in 2012 we spent a few weeks in Italy. Although we enjoyed every city we visited, there was just something very special about Assisi. We cannot pinpoint what it was. There was the Basilica, Rocca Maggiori, and the unforgettable Umbria countryside, just to name a few. Walking those narrow and hilly streets in Assisi provided us with moments we never forgot. It was there in Assisi that we also bought our wedding rings. From the rooftop of our hotel right in the center of the city, we had magnificent views of the city and countryside, such as seen in the photo above. We are so very glad that we will go back to Italy and spend Easter in Assisi. Spending more days there will allow us to explore familiar sites as well as other places we didn’t have a chance to visit in our first trip.
