— For seven days and nights this was the deck view in the condo we rented in Silverthorne, Colorado. It was a very nice getaway with plenty of things to do besides enjoying this view daily. The best of it all was most definitely the much cooler weather we experienced during our stay. Daytime highs in this idyllic place were in the upper 60s and low 70s (or 20-24 degrees Celsius). The nights were cool.
From our backyard deck, these were a couple of the views I had every morning when I was doing my meditation practice. The only sounds I heard were birds chirping and the wind blowing. The sun was warm and very pleasant taking away any coolness of the previous night. Occasionally I’d hear dogs running up the trail seen from this deck area. This condo was high above the city and far from any city noises whatsoever. We were conveniently close to several trailheads. In fact, three trails we hiked while in Colorado were just a 3-to-5-minute drive from our front door.
Who needs to rush in the morning when one can appreciate peace and quiet like this? Every morning the routine was to get coffee, sit outside, and breathe this cool mountain air.
