Highway 67

Highway 67

— From the very first day we drove into the Grand Canyon NP, North Rim, I knew I had to stop at mile marker 602 to make a photo capturing the beauty of this drive. It so happened that returning to our lodge when the sun was setting was the right time. The lighting was beautiful and made it all look like golden fields. This is the only road that leads into the North Rim. In the photo above, you are looking south. Besides the open fields and gentle curves on the road, there was also another major attraction in the area: bison. As you drive into and out of the park, chances are you’d see those beautiful animals grazing along the road just beyond the horizon in the shot above. No matter what time of the day we drove this highway, this view never got old.
