— Watching a sunset in the USA’s second-largest canyon is as easy as sitting on the porch of your cabin at the canyon’s rim. That was the case in these two shots here taken in 2014. Located in North Texas, in the state’s panhandle, Palo Duro Canyon SP offers breathtaking views on the canyon’s rim and down at the canyon bottom. These sunset shots were taken right from the patio at one of the three park cabins at the canyon rim. They book fast, but if you plan ahead, you can enjoy views such as these every day. Besides hiking, the park also has great biking trails. Other sites to enjoy in the park include the Rock Garden and Lighthouse trails. I have some older photos in those locations.
