Praia do Futuro (Fortaleza, Brazil)
– Although you would probably not recognize this beach on a weekend — thousands of people here — it is an entirely different scene on a week day. Fortaleza is where I was born and raised. Although I have now lived away longer than I have lived there, the magic never ends. Every year when I go home, the same routine of going to the beach is present. Because I am now able to be there on week days, the scene is a whole lot more rewarding. As the sun starts getting low on the horizon, the beauty of this place becomes even more intense. Praia do Futuro (Future Beach) is located on the east side of Fortaleza, the capital city of Ceará, in northeast Brazil. It is approximately 5 miles (8 km) long and one of the most popular in Fortaleza.
