— On this Thanksgiving day, it is wonderful to be able to thank for the beautiful outdoors in our own city. Austin is privileged to be in the Hill Country area of Texas. The city maintains good parks and trails. Sometimes you can have the feeling of being totally isolated although you’re right in the middle of the city. St. Edwards Park is located in northwest Austin, not too far from the busy Loop 360 highway (Capital of Texas Highway), in the Bull Creek Greenbelt area. The park offers biking and hiking trails as well as waterfalls, swimming holes, and swings, such as shown in the photo above. In the spring, the park blossoms into a display of wildflowers.
